A man loses his faith and sets out in search of something to replace it. With more than a touch of self-irony, he embarks on an inward journey through German, Zazaki and Turkish worlds. He thinks back to his childhood, describing the impact the outside world had on his youthful imagination and realizes that the pat resignation with which his parents and friends explained the world is no longer tenable. Tag für Tag (Day by Day) is based on autobiographical thoughts and diary notes. Actor and director Ayhan Sönmez’s most recent Ballhaus productions were Was machst du morgen?, which he directed, and Was will N. in der Naunynstraße?, in which he performed.
