Hani Zurob was born in 1976 in the Rafah refugee camp (Gaza). Hani Zurob graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Al-Najah University in Nablus. He has lived in France since his artist residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. The central theme of his work is the exploration of aspects and conditions of exile, waiting, change of place, relocation and transfer. In 2012 the monograph Between Exits: Paintings By Hani Zurob (Black Dog Publishing, London) by Kamal Boullata was published.
