Babett Grube

Babett Grube, born in Halle / Saale in 1980, worked as a freelance journalist and presenter on free radio after studying German. From 2007 to 2012, she studied drama theater directing at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater, which she completed in January 2012 with her diploma production of Jon Fosse’s Ein Sommertag. At the DT in Göttingen, she staged Der goldene Drache by Roland Schimmelpfennig, Gut gegen Nordwind, and currently Alle sieben Wellen (All Seven Waves), based on the bestselling novels by Daniel Glattauer. Her production Demut vor deinen Taten Baby (premiere) for Theater Bielefeld was invited to the Heidelberg Stückemarkt and the NRW Theatertreffen this year and won the 2013 Audience Award at the „Radikal Jung“ festival of young directors at Munich’s Volkstheater.
