Berlin Ballroom Pier

Berlin Ballroom Pier is a community-run project that was started by and for Berlin’s ballroom community, especially supporting queer, trans*, BIPOC teens and young adults (aged 14 to 27). Their goal is to create safe and empowering spaces where people from marginalized communities can express themselves creatively, learn together, and become politically active. To this end, they organize workshops, community events, skill-sharing formats, open ballroom sessions, and so-called Kiki Balls: self-empowerment and visibility are the goal. At Ballhaus Naunynstraße, they can be seen performing their own showcase act at the Sound Of The Souls party as part of the Black Berlin Black – Festivity festival.
