Claire Fristot

The visual artist Claire Fristot, aka A-li-ce, studied video and media art at the Poitiers School of Art (FR) and completed her Masters at the École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS, Paris) in the field of video art history and visual anthropology and also gender studies. She works as a video artist in the fields of audiovisual performance, installation and film, combining various animation and video techniques in her work. In addition to her artistic projects, she works as a live video stage designer with theatre groups and musicians. Claire Fristot also leads multimedia workshops in art colleges in France and Germany. In Berlin, she is part of the artistic team of Jugend im Museum since 2019, runs workshops for children and young people in museums and schools and is co-founder of the feminist video collective Trial and Theresa.
