Daniel Rakin
Daniel Rakin is a Brazilian transdisciplinary artist based in Berlin. His work spans cinema, photography, sound, performance, and dance, merging cinematic language with bodily movement to address identity, ancestrality, and marginalized narratives. As a queer, racialized transmasculine, he reclaims LGBTQIA+ histories, reframing narratives erased or marginalized by society. His dance films with Natasha Vergilio have been exhibited and awarded internationally. In 2025, he premiered his first solo performance, Se Essa Rua Fosse Minha, developed in Lisbon during Precárias: Festival Performance III and presented at Teatro Rua das Gaivotas 6.
At the Ballhaus Naunynstraße, Daniel Rakin created the video design for Gira, Natasha Vergilio’s portrait performance.
