Dessa Ganda began his career in 2002 as an actor. He is a versatile stage performer, working in theatre, dance, music and slam poetry. Ganda has participated in theatre, storytelling, slam, comedy and writers festivals in Benin, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mali, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, France, Belgium and Germany. He is a founding member of the artistic ensemble FAKO in Togo.
Since 2016 Ganda is studying dance and choreography at the HZT ‒ University Centre for Dance. He is engaged in various artistic collaborations including with the dancer and choreographer Christoph Winkler and most recently with Okwui Okpokwasili for a project at the 10th Berlin Biennale: Sitting on a man’s head.
