Dimitrij Schaad was born in Kazakhstan in 1985. From 2005 to 2009 he trained at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding and the Theater Academy St. Petersburg. In 2006 he makes a guest appearance at the Münchner Kammerspiele and in 2009 joins the ensemble of Schauspiel Essen under Anselm Weber. From 2010 to 2013 he is engaged at the Schauspielhaus Bochum. He works with directors such as Roger Vontobel, Sebastian Nübling, Jan Klata, and Jan Neumann. His most important roles include Romeo, Biff Loman, Spiegelberg, Haimon, Karl Rossmann, and Hamlet. In 2011 he was awarded the Bochum Theater Prize and at the NRW-Theatertreffen as best young actor.
