Ferhat Keskin was born in 1967 in Bingöl/Turkey. In 1981 he emigrated to Germany. After training and working as a road builder, he worked as an actor in the independent scene from 1989 to 1991. From 1992 to 2006 he was a member of the ensemble at the Theater an der Ruhr. Since 2006 he has been working as a freelance actor at various theaters and in various television and feature films, as well as a theater director. In 1995 he was named „best young actor“ in the critics‘ poll of the cultural magazine Neues Rheinland. In 1997 he received the Ruhr Prize of the city of Mülheim an der Ruhr.
