Gema Carla Dietrich was born in 1992 in Guantanamo, Cuba. Her father is a painter and teacher, her mother a dance teacher. She grew up in Havana, where she sang in the school choir and was part of a dance group that won many competitions. At the age of 15 she came to Germany. During a dance project she had the chance to participate in a show of the lis:sanga dance company in cooperation with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Gema Carla Dietrich studied interior architecture and design at the Wilhelm Ostwald School in Berlin and then studied one semester of architecture at the Academy in Hamburg (AMD). However, she dropped out of this to study fashion design at the German Pop Academy. Today she is happily married and a mother.
