Heide Simon attended the acting school in Munich. She has had numerous permanent engagements at theaters including Schauspielhaus Kiel, Theater am Turm TAT, Frankfurt, Schauspielhaus Bochum, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Freie Volksbühne Berlin, Staatstheater Munich and Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin. She has also had guest engagements at many theaters, including the Staatstheater Stuttgart, the Theater an der Ruhr Mülheim, the Theater Oberhausen and the Schauspiel Essen. For television, she has appeared in Tatort and Polizeiruf, as well as in various series with leading and supporting roles. She has made feature films with directors such as Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Joseph Vilsmaier, Ottokar Runze and Xaver Schwarzenberger. In addition, she has recorded audio books and works for radio.
