Hesam Ayat was born in Tehran/Iran in 1981. After his studies in agricultural science at Azad University in Tehran, Hesam Ayat emigrated to Europe. Since 2002 he lives in Berlin, where he worked as a freelance journalist for IRTV Berlin, booking assistant for GEIST (electronic music agency) and member of the theater project Made in Berlin. In 2006 he founded the music label Zabtesot, which also functions as a network and promotion platform for musicians and artists from Iran and Europe. Zabtesot collaborated with, among others: O-Hum, Font, The 11, Babak Akhoundi and Ballgard.
