Hieu Hoang, born in Hanoi, studied literature, theater and philosophy in Hildesheim, Berlin and Paris. He writes literary texts and works as a freelance theater maker in Berlin.
With the play development HIEU:LIEBE DEINE ELTERN (Ballhaus Ost Berlin 2013) he was invited to the European festival for young directors FAST FORWARD in Braunschweig in 2015. He is a member of the network cobratheater.cobra, with which he resided at the Favoriten Festival 2014 and and DRECK:Ein Apparat 2015 at Uferstudios, among others. For the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons he is with cobradoppelpass.cobra at the Theater an der Parkaue, where he is helping to build the House of Digital Youth.
