Jeanne-Ange Megouem Wagne, a German Cameroonian, is an aspiring (art) historian and creative practitioner based in Berlin. Both her academic research and creative practice are oriented around necessary questions of self-determination, social justice and solidarity. In her theoretical research, she is currently taking a critical look at (Western) historiography in particular, as well as the work of cultural and educational institutions, and is trying to deconstruct the social status quo with decolonial approaches and perspectives. She values moments of coming together and co-creating with artists of diverse disciplines in her own creative work. Between 2016 and 2018, Jeanne-Ange served as styling assistant to fashion stylist Dogukan Nesanir, assisting him in video and commercial productions as well as collaborating with international fashion publications.
