Julia Schunevitsch was born in Kiev and grew up in Bavaria, where she began to participate in children’s and youth theater and dance projects at an early age, as well as being musically active in various choirs and bands. After graduating from high school, she studied at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and worked with choreographers and teachers such as Rodolpho Leoni, Malou Airaudo, Juan Cruz and Johannes Wieland. In addition, she realized projects in interdisciplinary exchange with filmmakers at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. After her studies she devoted herself to other forms of movement such as martial arts (Kung Fu) and various dance styles from the street scene, such as Hip Hop, House, Poppig and especially Krump. She currently lives and works in London.
