Juri Sternburg, born 1983 in Berlin-Kreuzberg, was a graffiti artist and street artist, worked as an assistant at the German Theater Almaty in Kazakhstan from 2002 and made his own graffiti stage design in 2003. In addition to his jobs in various Berlin bars and clubs, in 2007 he created his first one-act commissioned work Sechs Quadratmeter Chrom for the Trockenschwimmer Festival in Berlin. At the same time, he began publishing columns and articles in the culture section of the taz Berlin. His first audio play Türsteher was heard on SWR in March 2010. Der Penner ist jetzt schon wieder woanders received a promotional prize from the Heidelberg Stückemarkt in 2010 and was awarded the promotional prize for new drama at the 2011 Theatertreffen Stückemarkt. The premiere took place in January 2012 at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin.
