Kaoru Iriyama, born in Tokyo, has lived in Berlin since 1998. She learned the secret of Japanese high cuisine, in which taste, aesthetics and health benefits of the food form a harmonious combination, from master chef Koyama Hirohisa at his renowned cooking academy in Japan and his restaurant Aoyagi in Tokyo, among others. Today she works as a show chef, food business consultant and regularly leads cooking classes.
