Klaus Dust has been working as a freelance lighting designer/designer since 1997 in the fields of modern dance, ballet, drama, opera, performance, puppet theater and music. From 1998 to 2003 he worked as a lighting designer for the dance company M.S. Schrittmacher. In the years 2000 to 2009 he conceived and the lighting design for the choreographies of the dance company Toula Limnaios. In recent years he has also developed lighting concepts for various site-specific events, including for the Bauhaus Dessau and for numerous other independent productions, most recently for Corinna Harfouch’s production In einer Kriegszeit leben as part of the Ruhr Festival. Die Ausnahme, Episode III is the third collaboration between Klaus Dust and A+B Tanzbau.
