Krzysztof Minkowski

Born on May 19, 1980 in Szczecin, Poland, Krzysztof Minkowski studied theater directing at the Berlin Academy of Dramatic Art „Ernst Busch“. His diploma production Die Reiherkönigin. Ein Rap by Dorota Masłowska was shown at the Maxim Gorki Theater and at the Kaltstart Festival in Hamburg. Various engagements as a director followed in Germany, Poland, Denmark and Switzerland. With Chekhov’s Drei Schwestern in Jelenia Góra he received an invitation to the Warsaw Theatertreffen. In 2010 he staged Homer’s Iliad with refugees from Bosnia and Herzegovina at Heimathafen Neukölln in Berlin. Krzysztof Minkowski has worked for years as a director in Berlin correctional facilities. At the Lucerne Theater he brought Invasion by Jonas Hassen Khemiri to a highly successful Swiss premiere.
