Lena Fay was born in 1981 in Berlin and grew up in Frankfurt am Main. From 2002 to 2008 she studied costume design and stage design at the Berlin University of the Arts and has worked freelance for theater, opera and film productions since then. She is co-founder of the performance group ROCKOesch, with which she realizes her own works. In 2012 she staged the theater performance Germany the Film with „Les maîtres fous“ and is currently working on the screenplay for the film of the same name. She designed stage and costumes for Hoffmanns Erzählungen, directed by Florian Lutz, HAU / Coppelia, directed by Olga Kastsel, Theater Sofia/Bulgaria, Möwen- directed by Anja Gronau, HAU, El Bateo, directed by Dominik Wagner, HAU.
