Luna Al-Mousli, born in 1990 and raised in Damascus, now lives and works as a writer, graphic designer and initiator for various initiatives focussing on education and integration in Vienna. She completed her diploma for graphic design at the University for Applied Arts Vienna and was a fellow and most recently almuni chair of the START fellowship programme for gifted migrant and postmigrant students. Her social project TANMU – Lernhilfe für jugendliche Flüchtlinge (Learning Aid for Young Refugees) was very well received as it provides an effective educational programme. As an activist and interpreter she has been working closely with the Riahi Brothers Arash and Arman within the cross media documentary project Everyday Rebellion, which has won several awards. In this context her activist work has also been broadcast in „Le Monde Arabe“ on ARTE TV. Luna’s work is situated at the intersection of literature, art and activism. All this is centered on actual people, their stories and multifaceted needs. This approach is committed to being open to new experiences.
