Malika Lamwersiek is a Berlin based performer and dancer. She began dancing in 2013 and soon actively engaged in the street dance scene by exchanging in Hip Hop cyphers, competing in Battles as well as teaching. Moving in and between Hip Hop, Popping, House and Breaking, Malika explores multiple ways of approaching movement, with a focus on textures and isolation of the Body. 2021 she started to work with the renowned choreographer Kat Valastúr and performed in her pieces Diana, Even (ongoing on Tour) and The FarNear. In 2022 Malika and Viola Barner showed their work beschrieben sein, schreiben at HAU Theater Berlin. Fernanda Costa’s dance performance Caminhos das Águas – Unstoppable Flow (2024) marks Malika’s first time on stage at Ballhaus Naunynstraße.
