Mariama Sow’s works revolve around fashion, art and the body. She deals with the political aspects of clothing in the context of identity construction. She studies fashion design at the weißensee kunsthochschule berlin and researches the self-perception and perception of black bodies and the influence of clothing in Germany with a series of interviews. At the Kunsthalle am Hamburger Platz, Mariama is involved in exhibitions, events and projects to develop new educational formats, and as a member of the ISD local group Berlin, she is active in the Black community.
