Miriam Chebaibai Koch directs the Black cultural space AfroPolitan Berlin and co-founded the BIPoC art space off:hybrid. Previously, she was first a scholarship holder and then coordinator of the Namibia Residency at Akademie Schloss Solitude, focusing on reparations and repatriations. Miriam Chebaibai Koch also worked in the mediation team of documenta fifteen and was involved for several years in the Black communities project Each One Teach One. There, together with her colleagues, she developed, among other initiatives, the counseling centers and PADucation—the first nationwide conference for Black professionals in social work—as well as its accompanying publication PADucating Realities, the first nationwide empirical study on current practices in Black youth work. In addition, she holds a teaching position at Goethe University Frankfurt on anti-racism in educational sciences. In 2025 Miriam Chebaibai Koch participates as a panelist in the talk and networking event Here to stay! at Ballhaus Naunynstraße organized by the akademie der autodidakten as part of the festival Black Berlin Black – Festivity.
