Mutlu Ergün-Hamaz is a PhD student at the London School of Economics, Sociology Department and currently lives in Berlin as an author, consultant, performer, trainer and social researcher. Since 2001, Mutlu Ergün-Hamaz has been a member of the anti-racist association Phoenix e.V., where he works as an anti-racism and empowerment trainer. In May 2010, his book Kara Günlük – Die geheimen Tagebücher des Sesperado (Kara Günlük – The Secret Diaries of Sesperado) was published, which satirically deals with the topic of everyday racism in Germany. His research focuses on racialization and empowerment in Germany. As @sesperado he blogs on Twitter about these topics.
