Nadia J. Kabalan, born in 1987 in Berlin, is an art educator (B.A.) and art historian (M.A.). She was a study fellow of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation and led the project Colonial Neighbors at the art space SAVVY Contemporary – The laboratory of form-ideas e.V. from 2014-2015. Her first documentary short film In the Darkroom with Steve Sabella (2014) was screened at several international film festivals. Currently Nadia J. Kabalan is freelancing in the field of curatorial and cultural education and is working as a research assistant at the municipal gallery Wedding – Space for Contemporary Art of the Department of Arts and Culture in Mittesince August 2016.
