Necati Öziri

Necati Öziri (born in 1988) studied German language and literature, philosophy and New German Literature in Bochum, Istanbul and Berlin as a scholarship holder of the Heinrich Böll Foundation. At Ballhaus Naunynstraße he participated in various productions, including Liga der Verdammten directed by Neco Çelik. He wrote and performed the production Urban Sounds Clash Classic for the akademie der autodidakten, which was invited to the 34th Theatertreffen der Jugend. In the 2013/14 season he was a permanent assistant dramaturg at Maxim Gorki Theater. Since the 2014/15 season, he has been artistic director of Studio Я at Maxim Gorki Theater. Necati Öziri writes short stories, among others Da kommt er, In: entwürfe, Nr.71; Das Wissen des Abendlandes, In: freitext Nr. 22. The play Vorhaut premiered on October 7th in 2014 at Ballhaus Naunynstraße and was published by Rowohlt Verlag.
