Patu lives and works in Berlin. Her work includes mural painting, animation and drawing. In recent years, she has focused mainly on writing and drawing comic stories and has published her own comic zines. Besides her own comics, she also collaborates with various authors, e.g. for the non-fiction comic Die kleine Geschichte des Feminismus or the comic Homestories 2 – a collaboration with author Vina Yun. She is also part of the artist duo radical jetset, with whom she has been self-publishing at various international screenprint and comic festivals since 2013.
In her current zine Becoming an Elephant, Patu explores the themes of exclusion, anger, and cohesion from a diasporic perspective.
