Sarhaly
Sarhaly aka Goldie is a multidisciplinary artist, dancer, and researcher whose practice intertwines movement, critical reflection, and visual media to produce and transmit knowledge from Black interiorities and ontologies. Through dance, writing, and embodied research, she develops practices rooted in critical pedagogies, reflexivity, and relational awareness, cultivating a consciousness that is at once corporeal, political, and collective.
Drawing freedom and expressive force from whacking and punking, her work is deeply influenced by the rhythms and histories of jazz, soul, and funk. Her performances navigate liminal spaces where memory, resistance, and self-reclamation converge, transforming movement into both archive and affirmation.
She has performed internationally on stages including Les Nuits de Fourvière (Lyon), Le Carreau du Temple (Paris) and Ballhaus Prinzenallee (Berlin). At Ballhaus Naunynstraße (Berlin) she contributes to Magda Korsinsky’s performance Arrival of the Village (2026).
