Sofia Vannini

Sofia Vannini was born in 1982 in Ravenna, Italy. In 2006 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, majoring in painting. She has worked as a fashion assistant with fashion designer Monica Bolzoni in Milan and as an assistant for the fashion design course at the University IUAV in Venice. In 2011-2012 she was a style assistant with the company L’AUTRE CHOSE. In Italy she has worked with various theater companies such as Fanny & Alexander, Societas Raffaello Sanzio and Teatro Valdoca. She has lived in Berlin since 2012 and has worked as a costume assistant in various productions, including Ballhaus Naunynstraße’s Die Saison der Krabben by Hakan Savaş Mican, Votre Faust by Aliénor Dauchez and Georges Delnon at Radialsystem and Rauş-Neue Deutsche Stücke at Studio Яdes Maxim Gorki. As a costume designer she has worked for B27 by Franz Rogowski (Tanz im August, Ufer Studios) and for Vorhaut by Miraz Bezar at Ballhaus Naunynstraße.
