Stephan Geene (born 1961 in Bonn) works as an author, filmmaker and curator in Berlin. He is co-founder of the Berlin bookstore and publisher b_books. His publications include money aided ich-design (1998). A three-year project at the Jan Van Eyck Academy Maastricht on avant-garde, film, and biopolitics is currently producing various publications. From 1996 to 2007 he was involved in the production of the collective flat-sharing soap Le Ping Pong d’Amour; after several collaborative films, including Bartlebey (1999), together with Judith Hopf, he made his first long feature film After Effect in 2006. He is currently developing the script for a next feature film project Früher Erwachen with Esther Buss.
