Theo Plakoudakis was born in Switzerland in 1972 and also grew up there. He studied acting at the Bern University of the Arts and then joined the ensemble of the Gerhart Hauptmann Theater in Zittau / Saxony. After a few years in the city theater, he moved to Berlin, from where he does not want to leave for the time being. He worked as a guest at several theaters, plays in the independent scene in Berlin and conducts theatrical research with the group Cosmos-Citsaug. In search of a second leg to stand on, he came to screenwriting. His first book, a Swiss-Japanese road movie, was filmed in 2014. Mais in Deutschland und anderen Gefilden is his third collaboration with Atif Hussein.
