Tobias Schwencke is a composer and pianist. He received his training in Duisburg, Saarbrücken and Berlin. In the field of modern musical theater he has been active as musical director, arranger, performer and pianist. Productions under his musical direction and participation have been realized at HAU, Radialsystem and Neuköllner Oper in Berlin, among others. He also works regularly with Kampnagel in Hamburg. Verrücktes Blut is Tobias Schwencke’s second collaboration with Nurkan Erpulat after Lö Bal Almanya.

World premieres of Tobias Schwencke’s compositions have been realized by ensemble intercontemporain, ensemble modern akademie, KNM Berlin, musikfabrik and many others. In July 2010 productions at the State Opera in Munich and the Theater an der Wien.
