Toks Körner

Toks Körner

Toks Körner is an actor and screenwriter living in Berlin. He graduated from the renowned state acting school Folkwang University in Essen, Germany and attended the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City. Since then he has appeared in a variety of theater productions in the professional and semi- professional field. His most important roles were Othello in the eponymous drama by Shakespeare, the role of Gbatokai in The Feast by Morgan Rukov and Thomas Vinterberg and Rosenkranz in Rosenkranz and Guildenstern are dead, by Tom Stoppard. In recent years, Toks was one of the leading protagonists at the Vorarlberger Landestheater Bregenz and was seen in various leading roles. In addition, Toks appeared in more than 20 cinema and television productions, working together with directors such as Volker Schlöndorff, Werner Schröter and Roland Suso Richter. In addition to acting, Toks Körner has been working as a Script Consultant and Scriptwriter since 2015, working with, among others, Bantry Bay, Chromosome Film and Rat Pack Film. His first movie script Borga is about to be shot in Summer in Ghana, Afrika. Toks Körner is also a lecturer in story development at the Berlin Film School DFFB and celebrated his debut as a playwright in 2017 with his play Walking Large at Ballhaus Naunynstraße. In 2015, Toks could already be seen in Ballhaus Naunynstraße as a protagonist in the production Mais in Deutschland und anderen Galaxien.
