Vanessa von Heydebreck was born in 1980 in Montréal, Canada. She is a freelance artist and has lived in Berlin since 1995. She began her fine arts studies at the Emily Carr Institute for Art & Design in Vancouver, but quickly missed the cultural impulses of Berlin and returned after one year to continue her studies at the Berlin-Weissensee School of Art (KHB). She received her diploma degree in free art/painting in 2006 and subsequently completed a master’s year with a focus on drawing/graphics. In 2010 she performed for the first time with Grupo Oito.
