YUMMI

YUMMI

Yummi, civically known as Ngoc Diem, was the eldest child of Vietnamese parents with the expectation of pursuing an academic education and a corresponding career with the prospect of a secure income. However, Yummi, a child of creativity and ingenuity, developed no interest in ever entering a lecture hall. Instead, Yummi moved to Berlin in 2019. Here, Yummi studied acting for two and a half years – despite all the hurdles that German acting schools too often hold for POCs. Nevertheless, or rather because of this, Yummi is determined to help shape the field of acting, to transform it into a safer field of work for BPOCs.

Yummi has acted in various ensemble projects and directed his own.
