Looking at different periods in the history of Palestine, the multi-instrumentalist Dirar Kalash explores archive material, sounds, images, and recordings. What is the sound of Palestine today? What is the materiality of events and what is the materiality of sound?

In the audio-visual live performance, Kalash uses material from different wartime events (Deir Yassin, 1948; Beirut, 1982; and Gaza, 2016) and composes an emphatic sound experience. Broken pasts and suppressed memories are brought back in An Assault on Memory.
