Arriving in the Future will present its fifth installment at
Ballhaus Naunynstraße with an evening of live music and performance filled with Soul, Funk, Beatbox, Jazz, Latin beats, and poetry featuring Black musicians from Germany, Cuba, the US and across the world.
London based OneNess Sankara will share her catchy and probing performance poetry and songs, filled with comedic satirical lyricism, upbeat soul-pop chords and urban twists. With her warm and playful voice Elisa Lago will create loops of sounds and Grooves, weaving them into an atmospheric sound cosmos with musical influences stemming from jazz and pop, to Latin and Brazilian music, tango, and flamenco. The Berlin-based Blues trio Black Kat & Kittens call their style „Blues & Roots.“ And last but not least armed with just a harmonica, a microphone and a loop station, Wynton Kelly Stevenson will create his own harmonic universe somewhere between the Gorillaz, dub and jazz.

Followed by a party with spoken word poet Codey Young, DJ Ford Kelly and DJ OneNess Sankara as well as projections by Thabo Thindi and art work by Melody Laverne Bettencourt
