When does a performance begin? When the audience enters the theatre hall? When the performers jointly go about building the scenery? Or before that, in the regular rehearsal sessions ‒ when the group works on technique, form and substance several times a week, over the years building trust and establishing connections that, although not visible or tangible, can still be experienced by the audience?

10 years of independent dance company in Berlin. 10 years of bodies, hearts, minds in movement. 10 years of experimenting with collective work, empathetic borderline experience, dealing with different contexts, constantly searching for new windows to other possible worlds, radical critique and empowering body politics. 10 years of Grupo Oito.

Under the direction of the Brazilian choreographer Ricardo de Paula the group has developed its own method as well as numerous politically and aesthetically radical dance performances, which were presented in Berlin und on the international stage.
