If you could travel to any place on earth, where would you go? To China or Japan? Or Switzerland perhaps? Climb Mount Everest or swim in the Red Sea?

Children from Nürtingen Grundschule primary school (sixth year) dreamt their way to England, France, Spain and even to Turkey. Their dream journeys through various European countries were developed and interwoven into a dynamic theatrical extravaganza that takes all participants to a market square in a Turkish city, deliciously aromatic French kitchens, Andalusian nights of song and dance, and across the channel on the trail of British pop culture.

This dance and drama project was developed by choreographer Canan Erek in the course of three months. Die Wunschreise follows Die Anderen (2009) and Klassenfahrt (2010) as the third dance project by Canan Erek as part of the Ballhaus Naunynstraße/Nürtingen primary school Zoom partnership.
