It’s 2014 and the World Cup in Brazil is just around the corner. In Germany alone, two million children and teenagers play football in 26,000 associations. Football is ever-present in the schoolyard. Sometimes lunch breaks are used for kicking the ball, sometimes for exchanging Match Attax cards. What’s behind the euphoria about the World Cup prevalent here? And what does the World Cup mean for people in Brazil? What does football mean to children there and here? How can football be danced? What happens when I become a ball myself?

The children of Berlin Bilingual School physically come to grips with these questions in collaboration with the choreographer Modjgan Hashemian.
