Asian-Germans and Asians have become significantly more visible in day-to-day life in Berlin over the past years. In Kiez-Monatsschau Volume XXIII, young people take a look at Berlin and its neighbourhoods from an Asian-German perspective.

What are the places Asian-Germans like to frequent and why? Where are the hubs and meeting points where communication and exchange take place? Or are there places they deliberately avoid? Are there also places where ethnic identity doesn’t matter, which is exactly why they might be considered as favourite spots among Asian-Germans? How does the appropriation of neighbourhoods take place and to what extent have Asian-Germans already occupied spaces for themselves?
