Kazım Erdoğan, psychologist, social worker, founder of the first support group for Turkish men and chairman of his association Aufbruch Neukölln, holder of the German Federal Cross of Merit (Bundesverdienstkreuz) and trailblazer for the stage production Süpermänner at Ballhaus Naunynstraße. With Kazım, wie schaffen wir das?, author Sonja Hartwig ventures on a biography.
With biographic narratives, recordings of conversations of the Turkish men’s group and interviews, the recently published book provides insights into Kazım Erdoğan’s life. But above all, it provides a space for men with a migration history and their experiences.
A selection of texts will be presented by Aylin Esener, Celal Sert, Idil Üner, Cem Sultan Ungan and other guests. Following the presentation there will be a Q&A with Sonja Hartwig, Kazım Erdoğan and members of the association Aufbruch Neukölln, hosted by Kemal Hür.
