MRS. B., A NORTH KOREAN WOMAN

BUSY BODIES – ASIAN FILM FESTIVAL BERLIN 2017

Mrs B., a North Korean Woman portrays a charismatic woman from North Korea, searching for a better life, and fleeing to South Korea via China, Laos and Thailand. In China she was sold by a broker to a Chinese farmer. But she still made it to South Korea, always thinking of a better future for her and especially for her children. After arriving in hyper-capitalistic South Korea she painfully discovers that the “praised land” cannot offer her safety. An odyssey full of stress, strains and surprises.
