Sana Moussa is known for rediscovering and reinterpretating folkloric and traditional Palestinian music. On the base of over two years of field research Moussa gathered musical material belonging to the collective memory of Palestinians. She is interpretating and performing traditional Palestinian music authentically, as well as rearranging traditional Palestinian songs. The lyrics encapsulate diverse themes of Palestinian life, such as people´s connection with nature and love. Sana Moussa´s artistic mission is to present Palestinian music in a new light, shaping a new trend and approach in the re-imagining of traditional Palestinian music.

Preceding the program there will be a concert by the pianist Aeham Ahmad, who grew up in the Palestinian refugee camp Yarmouk.
