Dramatic reading by Label Noir
The theatre ensemble Label Noir was founded in 2007. The troupe based in Berlin gave its debut with the play Heimat, bittersüße Heimat (Home, bittersweet home), showing with humour and sometimes deadly seriousness how one can bear up against small discriminations and bigger infamies in everyday life. Already their second production brought the artist’s collective to the Staatstheater Mainz, where they were successful with Satoe ‒ Gesegnete Heimat (Satoe ‒ Blessed home). At Ballhaus Naunynstraße Label Noir will now present poetry, prose and dramatic writing by Black authors and takes the audience on a journey through narratives that could hardly be any more diverse. They are about being on the road and arriving, about rage and happiness, about love, guilt and forgiveness. On this night they become the story of every human being‘s eternal search for belonging.
