SURVIVING — Fragment II
By Juliana Piquero
Crossed situations are fine
Is there a deeper commonality between people than the fact that they all have a body? The second part of the trilogy Surviving engages with the concept of the “other”. It is an encounter of bodies, distorted in time and in dialogue with one another. Bodies brought to a standstill only to start moving again in the next moment. How do we engage in dialogue and how do we coexist? Surviving Fragment II ‒ crossed situations are fine experiments with a mutually created environment where the protagonists search for possibilities of losing and splitting themselves. They explore commonalities and create a foundation.
Juliana Piqueros‘ dance fragment maps areas in which nodal points become stories, sustained by invisible links and connected to our bodies.
