Back in the 1960s, superheroes were still thanked and applauded for their deeds. Nowadays, they are merely accused of damaging state property, failing to adapt and waging war against accepted norms and normal people. A couple of big-time managers get together and decide to milk this situation for what it’s worth. They recruit some superheroes spurned by society and offer them the world of brands and labels, a world they purport is entirely open.

Superhero A is sick of it all. He has decided to commit suicide ‒ the only problem is that superheroes are generally not allowed to die.

A doesn’t give a monkey’s ass for brands or the kind of superheroes who refuse the corporate bribes. His girlfriend has left him and all he wants to do is write love poems. But the conflict between normal people and superheroes refuses to go away. For even superheroes can be bought.

Actor and director Cem Sultan Ungan brings the play by Marianna Salzmann and Deniz Utlu to the stage in cooperation with participants of the akademie der autodidakten drama workshops.
