Beatrace Angut Lorika Oola studied media with a focus on film and television and works as a freelance interdisciplinary curator, fashion stylist, cultural creative producer, speaker, and guest lecturer at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen (HfK). The demand for representation, diversity and inclusion in the creative industry and the accompanying questioning of narratives and social perceptions is part of her practice. Her main interest is African and Afro-diasporic practices in participatory media with a focus on fashion. With the international network and the eponymous platform Fashion Africa Now, stereotypes are broken, marginalized perspectives become visible and socio-critical issues are brought to the fore. Fashion Africa Now was awarded the 2022 Culture and Creative Pilots Award by the German government. Beatrace Angut Lorika Oola is also a member of the advisory board of Dekolonisierung Hamburg.
