Beth Mwangi was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya in 1987. She discovered her passion for being on stage in early childhood at school competitions and church. After graduating from school, she began working on stage and film as an actress. Later, her interest in dance developed. In 2008, she started learning traditional African dances to support her acting skills through dance. Gradually, however, she discovered her passion for it by participating in many different dance workshops and projects, and since 2012 she is now fully dedicated to dance. She is a Rhumba teacher with Sportsview Kasarani. She is also a co-founder of the Touch and Glow project, which supports young women in Nairobi. Beth is a member of the Choreographic Conversation, a platform for dance education and choreographic development.
